Table Planner Tool

Looking for a quick and easy way to end the table plan headache…Well I can strongly recommend the table planner software on www.weddingspot.co.uk

Just log on to the Wedding Spot and register for free as a bride to be then head to the ‘My Weddings’ tab. You’ll need to add your guests, which is a good exercise as you can allocated a menu type e.g. vegetarian, adult, child, nut allergy etc and also associate a guest if your dealing with couples or children.

Once all your guests are uploaded you can quickly select table shape be it round rectangle and seats per table 6,8,10,12 to create your table layout in room then just drag and drop your guests from the side tab on the tables.

I can’t recommend this enough for brides to be, I’ve been mulling over how bad putting it will be putting together the seating plan for ages and I actually managed to complete my seating plan in 30mins using this bit of kit.

Wedding Stationery Printing

I have just stumbled upon a great online printers!

Now don’t be afraid to get your printing done online the reduced prices you can obtain online do not reflect a reduction in quality. Online printers are able to print cheaper as they collate a few jobs together and print them before chopping up the jobs and passing along the cost savings.

These guys look great, its a simple website and if all you want is printed invites without the little ribbon ties and handcrafted look then for around £20 for 100 A5 invites or 150 save the date cards these are perfect. They can even add the matching envelopes to your order taking the price for 100 invites and 100 matching envelopes to only £33! And this is decent stuff on heavy, quality paper.

Just as an example my wedding stationery bill breaks down to:
A6 postcard ‘Save the date Cards’ x 150 = £22
A5 evening invites with matching envelopes x 50 = £20
A5 day invites with matching envelopes x 100 = £31

That’s £73 for the lot including a PDF proof, delivery is £5 for 10day turn around, for me its a winner!

Wedding invites ~ Save the date cards

In the last few days I have finally had to bite the bullet and work on my wedding invites. I have a degree in design and so have been feeling the pressure of expectation that I need to create something a bit special for my own day.

It’s not my first time designing invites I’ve done a few for friends and family before but this time its completely to my own brief and I definitely want to keep it simple.

The first task was to complete the Save the date cards. With so many design styles available I don’t want all my wedding stationery to be matching, I’d like to showcase a few different styles. So my Save the Date cards be in a quite unique format but in the same colour theme to the rest of the stationery to show they belong to the same family of invites, if you see what I mean.
